Personal Information:

Bob, being an animal lover has four dogs and six cats. He enjoys singing as well as many types of music, especially Top 40 and “Pop Country.” Bob thinks traveling and seeing other parts of this great country is a fun thing to do when when one has some free time.

Media Awards and Honors:

Bob has received the Seal of Approval on weathercasts from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He also received an award from the National Weather Service for keeping the public informed in 1988 when major Hurricane Gilbert threatened the Texas Gulf Coast where Bob was working. Bob says that this award is probably the proudest moment in the many years he has been in television weather. In 2011, Bob also received an award of appreciation for 30+ years of weather forecasting from the Governor of Tennessee, The Honorable Bill Haslam.

It’s good to see that one station got it right, bob has more talent than any weatherman in the area, WBIR is the channel we watch now for an accurate forecast,WATE does not know a good thing when they have it. Good luck bob, and thanks WBIR’S. I hope the station will find a way to keep you full time.
